Settled In

We finally got settled in!
We downsized a lot so it has made a little more difficult to get everything organized, but were making it work. On the bright side, we will be saving money! Here are a few pictures...

Ellie checking out the new bathtub!

This is our very nice, but MUCH smaller kitchen. Getting everything in has been very difficult!
This is our brand new TV our parents got us for Christmas! As you can see the picture is so clear! Guess what? This is with bunny ears! Yes, we canceled our cable. We are pretty excited that we can get HD channels with bunny ears, who would have thought?

Our bathroom has been our second difficulty. We are used to separate bathrooms so sharing one has taken some getting used to. Also, we have had to rearrange to get all our stuff in here. I'm so thankful for Hobby Lobby where I got this cool storage cabinet!
Hopefully, this will be our last move for a while.
Spring semester has started and going full force. 6 classes, and it is going to be rough. Guess its time to get busy .

Have a good weekend!

And the Fun Begins....

There are so many things going on all at once.  The past couple of months have been non stop craziness. Thanksgiving Break was the first break that I had from school since the beginning of September. With 5 classes, and studying I was kept pretty busy.

With Jordyn's schedule being so crazy we stayed in GA for Thanksgiving. We made our first Thanksgiving meal. We were able to have some of our friends over. I have to admit fixing our first turkey was an adventure. It took some time but we finally got it "cleaned" out and literally hand-buttered by Jordyn and in the oven. Four hours later it turned out great! I wish I had pictures, but we enjoyed our time here and I have to say I am so thankful for the friends we have here that made that day really special.

Thanksgiving was over and the day I returned back to school, finals began. Talk about stressful. I don't think I have studied that much EVER in my life. Luckily it paid off. After finals Ellie and I were off to NC to spend some much needed time at home with family and friends. Jordyn joined us at the end of the week. I was able to enjoy time at the job that I truly love and be with all of my family, and precious friends. I am so blessed with so many people that mean so much to me. Here are some pictures of our Christmas at home....

At my Aunt's house we played the Xbox Kinect. Watching my husband and brother play this game was hilarious!

My Daddy with Karlie and Ellie girl. They both LOVE him so much, which doesn't help their relationship.

My Sweethearts

My precious Ellie girl

Our Christmas tradition- we always read the Christmas story before opening presents.
Jordyn surprised me with a Kindle Fire. I was so shocked, we had said we weren't getting each other anything. He is such a sweetheart! We had a great Christmas.

The day after Christmas we made our way back to GA. Now, we are preparing for another move. We have had so many issues with where we are at now, so its time to move on. Today was the day we finalized everything. Hopefully we will be moving by the end of the week. Keep us in  your prayers as we start yet another new chapter in our lives.

Now its time for packing and moving. Bring on the fun!

Turkey Sandwiches

Jordyn asked me to make him a turkey sandwich for lunch today. I woke up this morning and apologized to him because I realized I forgot to make it, and this is the poem I got....
I looked in the fridge and there was no sandwich there,
I looked in the bottom and the top and everywhere,
It broke my heart to what I saw,
I saw eggs and milk but no sandwich at all,
So I hurried and scrambled for what I could find,
But there was not nothing to feed my behind,
I then had a thought that was oh so sweet,
Some good ole spaghetti left over to eat

Thought it was too good not to post. He is so proud of his poetry skills!

One of the many reasons why I love him, he never fails to make me laugh!

I'm still here!

My posts have seemed very random lately but blogging has become part of my monthly routine so I have to get it all in.

Until now, there has just been no time! My schedule now consists of waking up to go to school, coming home and studying for school, eat, bed, repeat. Exciting I know. I have had quite the awakening with my classes this semester. They are a lot of work and it seems like it never ends. This weekend has been one of the only times I have had this much rest, and I am so thankful! It has been  relaxing!

On a brighter note, fall has finally made its way to Georgia! The weather has been so beautiful lately. With fall also comes football season! I don't watch a lot of sports, but I love football. My dog even has a Carolina Panthers shirt (Thanks to her Mimi). We are dedicated! I love fall!

Last weekend Jordyn and I were able to go home and spend some time with our families. My brother, Matt, came in from Tennessee. We haven't spent any time together since June.  It was so good seeing him and spending time together. Of course, we had to take an updated family picture..

I am so blessed with a wonderful family, I only wish I could see them more!

I can't forget my wonderful in-laws. I am so thankful for them also. I miss them just as much as my own parents.

Even though things are crazy, I am so thankful for the life that God has given me, and the many blessings that I have!
Have a great week everyone!

Random Thoughts

Yet again, It's been a while since my last post. I have been so busy lately that between school and taking care of things around the house, my time for other things is limited.

On a brighter note,

** Two weeks ago we were able to spend some time at the beach! Jordyn and I were able to meet up with all of our parents and enjoy a relaxing week together full of beautiful weather!

**Panera Bread now has Cherry Vanilla Bagels. They only have them once a year, around September to October, and they are the best bagels! Looks like my diet is going to have to include a few of these over the next few months!

**We are having cooler weather! I walked outside this morning and needed a jacket. If you only knew how big of change we have experienced here in GA. Earlier this week it was in the 90's. Today it was 66 degrees! I love that it is getting cooler, time to break out hoodies, and boots!!!

**Also, I found out some very encouraging news this week. After this semester I will be considered a Senior in college! PRAISE THE LORD! Classes have been stressful this fall, but I'm so close to being done. Can everyone please pray that I make it out of school and still have my sanity, and also that I will be finished before we move back to NC!

**Last but not least, its deer season! I don't care to go hunting, I DO NOT have the patience for it, although, my dad and my husband are very excited. The good thing that comes out of hunting season for me is more time at home. There is truly no place like home, and I love spending my time there!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, enjoy the cooler weather!

Blessings

For a few weeks now I have been thinking about this song. I heard it at our church in Georgia, and ever since haven't been able to get it off my mind. Two weeks ago I was given the opportunity to be apart of our church in NC's children's camp. I have been apart of it several years and it is such a blessing every time. During one of our altar calls this song was played. I lost it, it is so powerful and I love how God can work through just a simple song. The song is called Blessings. It talks about how we go through so much suffering, we pray sometimes and feel like God is no where near, but reminds us that we are BLESSED and God has so much bigger plans for us than we have for ourselves. Our pastor in GA has been preaching about how we as Christians WILL experience suffering, but going through the fire will make us so much stronger. Maybe you are like me and have things in your life that you are experiencing and praying about that you don't really understand. I hope this songs speaks to you like it has to me. Be reminded that God has everything under control. He is good, and you are BLESSED no matter what you face.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Praying for a Miracle

Today I went for my dentist appointment. It was my first time there so they went through all their procedures, and I was starting to  think it wasn't really a bad place to be. That was until I heard the words, Uh,oh. That is never a good sign. I asked the lady what was wrong and she said "Well this tooth is sticking right here". What does that mean I asked? "Its a CAVITY" she says. My heart dropped. I have never had a cavity before, and to make mattes worse she found 2 more. I thought I was going to cry.

Having a cavity isn't really the part that bothers me, its the getting them fixed. If anyone knows me at all, I do not do well with needles. I pass out at the sign of them. Its so bad that I even passed out at the vet's office at Ellie's first visit. It's awful. I can only imagine what it will be like with a needle going in my mouth.

Needless to say I am really dreading getting them fixed. With that said, I need your help. I went out and bought these two things today. Supposedly they can really help!

So with the help of these 2 things..
Please help me pray that the Lord takes all 3 of  these cavities out of my mouth!
Or as my Dad said, a miracle to happen!!!!
